KunstBrücke is a Swiss association working across the visual arts, connecting cultural professionals in Switzerland and Ukraine. We run residencies, exhibitions, and public programmes that put artists, curators, and institutions from both countries into direct working contact with each other's audiences and networks.

That contact runs in both directions. Ukrainian art has long reached Swiss audiences without the people behind it; Swiss artists, in turn, rarely have working ties in Ukraine. KunstBrücke builds those ties directly, so that artists from each country gain a real stake in the other's institutions and audiences, not a passing introduction. Swiss and Ukrainian practitioners are often working through the same questions, such as how to sustain a practice or how to reach an audience outside established circuits, from very different starting points. We think there's real value in putting people who are answering those questions differently into the same room.

We're building a network that connects our partners and, in turn, helps them strengthen their own capacity, not only in the cultural sector but across the economy and civil society more broadly.

KunstBrücke was founded in 2024 by Sofiia Vynnychenko and Simon Gex, and is registered as an association under Swiss law in Vouvry, Valais.
